From Submission to Screen

CineV is a curated investment platform for independent films with Indian stories. We aim to connect filmmakers with serious capital through structured evaluation and mediated access, as well as with the value chain required to monetise the film.

Every project on CineV is evaluated by a curatorial team. Every investor on CineV has been qualified. The platform exists to make the match between the two structured, transparent, and fair.

Stage

Choose Your Slate

CineV's Production Slate has four categories. Each is designed for a specific stage of a film's journey. Choose the one that matches where your project is today.

ProofPoint

For debut filmmakers only

You have a short film that proves your vision for a feature. You are seeking funding to make your first feature. CineV presents your short as proof of concept to investors who back emerging talent.

Development

For filmmakers with a track record

You have a project at an early stage — a treatment, a script in progress, an idea that needs development funds to become a package. CineV connects you with capital to advance your project from concept to production-ready.

Production

For packaged projects ready to shoot

Your project has a locked script, confirmed cast and crew, a detailed budget, and a production schedule. You need production capital to go into principal photography. CineV presents fully packaged projects to investors who are ready to commit.

Completion

For films that need finishing funds

Your film has completed principal photography. You need finishing funds for post-production, sound, colour, VFX, or delivery. CineV's curators review your rough cut, and approved projects are presented to investors who can see the film taking shape.

The Process

Four steps from submission to engagement.

01

Submit Your Project

Apply through a structured submission form on cinev.in. You choose your slate, describe your project, share your creative vision, and upload supporting materials. The form is designed to capture exactly what curators and investors need to evaluate your project fairly.

You may submit multiple applications, one for each project. Each application requires a separate fee and is reviewed independently.

02

Our Curatorial Team Evaluates Your Project

Every project submission is evaluated by the team on its creative strength, commercial clarity, and investment-readiness.

Curation decisions are final.

03

Approved Projects Go Live

Projects that pass curation go live on the CineV platform. Your project becomes visible to all qualified participants under the investor category only - not as an open listing on a marketplace, but as a curated presentation backed by a professional evaluation.

Only the logline and profile of the director(s) and/or producer(s) are listed on the platform. All other submission materials are shared only with qualified participants through mediated access. You control which materials are shared openly and which require a specific request. CineV reserves the right to edit submission text for the purpose of publication on the platform.

04

Participants Discover and Engage

Six categories of participants browse the platform and engage with projects that match their interests.

  • Investors
  • Production Companies
  • Grants and Subsidies
  • Film Festivals
  • Distributors
  • Exhibitors

One Year of Active Support

CineV does not just list your project and walk away.

Once your project is selected, CineV actively supports it for a full year from the date of selection. During this period, your project has continuous visibility across all six participant categories. CineV facilitates introductions, manages investor engagement, and works alongside you to move your project toward financing/distribution.

This is not a directory listing. It is a year-long partnership between your project and a platform built to connect independent cinema with the capital and the value chain it needs.

Advisory and business support

Cinevesture may assist selected projects in business deals on a project-to-project basis, as per mutual agreement. This includes introductions to co-producers, sales agents, distributors, and other industry partners beyond the platform.

Executive Producer credit

All films that secure investment and/or distribution deals through CineV are required to carry the credit 'Executive Produced by Cinevesture' This reflects Cinevesture's role in connecting the project with capital and supporting it through the investment process.

How Your Project Data is Protected

CineV is built to protect your project information at every stage.

Screener links you provide as part of your submission are shared only with qualified participants through the platform. CineV does not host or stream video content directly.

What Strengthens a Submission

No documents are mandatory at submission. But stronger submissions typically include materials that demonstrate creative clarity and project readiness. Here is what curators look for at each stage.
