What CineV Is

CineV is a curation and advisory platform for investment in Indian cinema. We review film projects through a structured curatorial process and present the strongest to a vetted network of private investors, distributors, festivals, production companies, and funding bodies.

We are not a fund. We do not pool, hold, or disburse capital. When an investor commits to a project, the commercial relationship is directly between the investor and the filmmaker. CineV’s role is to ensure the projects that reach investors are worth that conversation — and to provide the intelligence needed to act on them.

CineV is built and operated by Cinevesture Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai.

The Production Slate

The Production Slate is CineV’s curated pipeline. Projects enter through a seasonal submission cycle and are reviewed by our curatorial team across four categories.

Season 1 is now open. Submissions close August 31, 2026. From 2027, submissions open January 15 and July 15 each year.

Who We Are

Rohit Vedprakash

Lead Curator

Rohit has worked across production, development, and content strategy in both studio and independent film. His production credits include Lootcase, India's Most Wanted, Fitoor, Pizza 3D, Himmatwala, and the India-Canada co-production Cooking with Stella, and he served as first assistant director on the second unit of Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire. He has held development and acquisition roles at Disney and Fox Star Studios, and at Netflix he served as Director of Local Language Originals, overseeing the commissioning pipeline for Indian-language content. He is the Co-Founder of Uproar Films. At CineV, as Lead Curator, he assesses projects across all four categories of the Production Slate for creative strength and commercial viability.

Mrinalini Khanna

Lead Curator

Mrinalini has spent nearly two decades in content development and production. During fourteen years at Endemol Shine India, she built the company's premium scripted slate and produced The Test Case, Mission Over Mars, Aarya, Bombay Begums, Trial by Fire, and Tooth Pari — When Love Bites. As Vice President of Originals at Lionsgate India, she led the development and production of Feels like Home and Minus One for Lionsgate Play. Her work spans content strategy across television, digital, and live entertainment. She is currently a Partner at Phenomenal-Ent. At CineV, as Lead Curator, she assesses projects across all four categories of the Production Slate for creative strength and commercial viability.

Nina Lath Gupta

Founder

Nina is a film producer and strategist who has spent almost three decades building infrastructure for independent Indian cinema. As Managing Director of the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) from 2006 to 2018, she produced and co-produced films including The Lunchbox, Qissa, Manjhi - The Mountain Man, and Chauthi Koot. She founded Film Bazaar in 2007, growing it into South Asia's largest co-production market, and launched Cinemas of India, NFDC's distribution label for restored and contemporary independent titles. Under her leadership, NFDC transitioned from a loss-making company to a profit-making institution. CineV grew out of her conviction that Indian cinema deserves the same structured investment infrastructure that India created for its technology and startup sectors.

Indian Stories, Global Filmmakers

CineV is open to Indian stories from filmmakers anywhere in the world. The project must be rooted in India — the filmmaker does not have to be based here.
