Vivek Rangachari is a dynamic force in film production, financing, and distribution. After his tenure at DAR Motion Pictures, where he played a key role in producing and co-producing numerous Indian and international films, he founded Yali DreamWorks and VRCC, expanding his creative and commercial footprint. His international projects include acclaimed films such as The Lunchbox (Cannes 2013 – Critics Week), Ugly (Cannes 2013 – Directors’ Fortnight), Peddlers (Cannes 2012 – Critics Week), Monsoon Shootout (Cannes 2013 – Midnight Screening), and Photograph (Sundance 2019). On the Indian front, he has delivered a diverse range of films, including D-Day, Bala, Haunted 3D, Micky Virus, Bucket List (Marathi), and Lalbaug Parel (Marathi), showcasing his versatility as a producer.

Continuing his journey of compelling storytelling, Vivek recently produced 800, the much-anticipated biopic of cricket legend Muttiah Muralitharan, and co-produced Sahela in collaboration with Dev Patel’s Minor Realm and PWA, which premiered at SXSW Sydney. His Tamil series, The Village, inspired by Yali DreamWorks’ popular comic, made its mark on Amazon.

With an eye on the future, Vivek is spearheading an exciting slate of upcoming projects. These include The Laugh of Lakshmi, an Australian-Sri Lankan film, NK320, a biopic on India’s first Formula One driver Narain Karthikeyan, and Miss Everest, chronicling the journey of Arunima Sinha, the first female amputee to conquer Mount Everest. His ambitious lineup also features The Black Tiger, based on the life of legendary spy Ravinder Kaushik, as well as Adima, Tokyo Singh, 13 Days, Dhundh Saleti, Buddy, Padmini, and more.
